Tamil - youtube - masthi

You know, I just cant believe people have so much fun with technology. So much of creative, personal, original stuff out there and some of them are really really good, because of their plain simplicity with the magic of a "unlearned" originality. With facebook connection to random people from around the world I get to see so many funny crazy things about life.

Here is something that brought me a warm smile in this very cold Canadian morning. This very real tamil moment - I dont know how to describe it! Technology, technology bringing in ... what should I say? Something that the soul yearns for? I have no idea who these real people are who that real person who put this youtube and made it public! You may like it more if you are living abroad for a while. This is like a Sienfield show. It is a show about nothing and that is what is captivating. You should watch it till the end.

The smile, the language, the accent, the happiness, the shyness, the reality of it all. Nothing like it around the world. This is Tamil Nadu as much as I know. I dont know why they titled it "funny tamil people" - I didnt think it was funny ... it touched my memories gently. But I found some funny stuff by tamilian in the same youtube site surely.

Here is something a little more professional, or should I say fictional/dramatic - by somebody wishing to be in the creative profession I guess ... but still funny, still very original and unpolished ... in its own way ... I like the "annaiyum thanthaiyum thaane ..." song choice for switching ... really hilarious!

If only we can laugh out all of everyday frustrations ...
People just doing these things for time pass ... and making it publicly available .. you know .. if there is a word to describe it ... I am starting to love these more ...

Adding this after an hour: Look at the originality and creativity. I think Maniratnam would love watching this - definitely he takes the credit not just for the jump in the music but for the idea inside the song too - which is just absolutely captured in the rhythm! :)This dance though is just adding many levels of joy to it, as if everybit of the tune and word is fun - Simply awesome. Could be professional, but they are truly bringing the joy of every little bit of the music in their dance ... LOVED IT! Youtube link from my students in facebook ofcourse! :)

When I was watching this second time, daya grabbed me by my hand and said "mommy come dance with me!".

One more hour later: I should stop connecting my facebook youtube to blog eh? But this one was just so awesome hilarious, I cant stop myself from sharing ... I had been giggling madly watching this ... every bit of editing is enjoyable, the more repeatedly I see, the more editing fun I see ... totally tocks!

Have a great weekend everyone! I had an awesome start with all this youtube fun!

I should mention though - the wife's dialogue to the husband was too perfect - I have said all those phrases exactly in that tone to Prakash - at different contexts! :) I am only beginning to get the frustration of daya running away when I am dressing him up or feeding him, but I have been the daughter when my mother has screamed to study for exams, and mostly to wake up from bed! I was a lazy ass ... But looking for the remote in a sofa mess - frustrated search - happens all the time! That add definitely had perfect dialogues! :)

Unbelievable how creatively people think - such timing and craziness for the dialog ... put a broad smile on my face ... sync it to my IPod (I think in the movie he asks for poison to kill himself!) and the part Queen liked it ... are crazy funny ...
