I dont know who does it at other peoples home - but there is always a need for a villainous thundering voice to get the kids to snap out of their noiyaan noiyaan cry and start doing what is to be done! In my home its ME! Ofcouse! :) I am just THE BAD kind and even can be quite THE UGLY - I can do Gabbar Singh crazedom any day! Indeed Prax cant play villain to near and dear - he can do it well with strangers. He would just melt if Divya has a drop of tear and the maharani takes gazillion advantage of that! So in my home its me who is THE MONSTER, especially the voice with a course bass and sharp copper bell combination - like a japanese drum going thud in the heart. I can do it perfectly well "chaththam mooch, yaaravathu ini thoongaama pEchinaa adi pichchiruvvEn pichchu," dialogue delivery is always adiyEn duty and I can do it quite effectively. Sometimes it is so effective, it is scary for the very BAD me who delivered it, because like a sudden magic, divya will just fall asleep and start snoring too! :)
But then thaay ettu ati paancha kutti pathinaaru ati paayumE! I carried divya ulta pulta out of the children's play area from a indoor theme park we went to - because that way it is funny for her and she can snap out of her obsession with the place. She was still agitated while we made her wear the shoe and coat and all that ... To shut her up I said "See this closed room there, that is THE LIZARD room here! if you keep on crying, the security will come and put you in there!" and she looked at me and responded "Mommy I will say sorry to the lizard!" I didnt know how I should contain my surprise or laughter. I had told her only a few days ago about the magic of the word sorry. I had told her, everything bad in life would go away if you say sorry, the most important thing in life is to learn to say a sorry - its okay to have done something wrong unknowingly (like spilling milk, etc!), as long as you know it was wrong and you can tell a sorry. She kept looking at me for a response and all I could tell her was "well, I think the lizard is going to be very confused - usually the lizard knows what to do with BAD girls" and she responded promptly to me "mommy lizard will kiss me!" what can I say "ende guruvaayurappaah!" I had to change strategies and I told her only if we get out of the place we can go buy chips that she loves! And that worked!
Before I forget, prax mentioned that Air India terminal is super good for kids now. Divya had a fantastic time playing in its new children's play area and running around ... here are some photos. Prax was really happy with the way the terminal has become child friendly to international standards! I am adding this info for other parents traveling international with toddlers in hand!

Also there was an article @ McDonald's play area toys microbes content that had so many kinds of microbes that could be dangerous to kids since they were not at all cleaned every time.I know we can't restrict them but just letting you know.
hi anony, yes its so funny to see how much she loves the plaits! girls yes! and microbes in play area? I guess I am the kind of mother who doesnt get any worries of that kind ... I think with twins, having seen all the shit and vomit and leaky nose and all the rest of the spills and mops and roll arounds, I feel like microbes probably get scared of us! :))) ... okay, not all that bad! but ... you are right though we cant restrict them much!
